Overall

Beautiful campus and town. It has a serious learning atmosphere but a relaxed attitude at the same time. Solid Science and English/writing programs. Solid athletics, on campus and of sourse in the area. Dorms are actually a great experience. The University is very thoughtful in regard to amenities, food services, etc.

Academics

I was in the Creative Writing Program, loved it. There is a tremendous source for interesting people/writers on campus and in town due to Naropa. Lot's of unique learning experiences to be had. I had two professors who changed my life. One, Ed Dorn, well-known poet, has passed away, unfortunately. The other, G. Kinneavy, has retired.

College Life

Campus life was very fun. The Rec Center is really good: pools, work-out facilities, great ice skating rink. Great football games as well. It was very safe when I lived there, I'm not sure how things stand these days. Generally Boulder is still a pretty safe place. And of course there's a lot to do - skiing etc. in the Winter.

Overall

the campus was the best part of the school. it was beautiful and the architecture is consistent throughout. And the rec center was pretty amazing. I was in a great location that felt pretty safe. I wished there was more cultural diversity. it was a great place to go to college

Academics

The classes were wonderful. the professors had a lot of experience and seemed interested in teaching unlike in highschool where it seemed like more of a job for people. the workloads depended on the class. The class sizes varied greatly and you always knew that going in so it was nice to know which classes you could get extra attention and those where you could go unnoticed.

College Life

There was so much going on it was a bit overwhelming at first but once you figure out your niche things are great. It was great to feel like a part of something massive since the school was huge. It seemed like there was always an event going on and people were busy doing things all the time. During the weekend it was nice to get away by hiking and wandering around Boulder.
