Overall

There are many choices of instructors for my business major in Edmonds community college, and many older students are trying to study degree courses. Moreover, recently a lot of international students have come from development counties to U.S., so our colleges seems like cultural diversity activity. And of course, Many classes related Communications must be active due to cultural differences of different ethnic students. In last summer, I could enjoy such cultural diversity from the class when I was in the Communications class, so I could experience many different cultures indirectly through the presentation time. After then, possibly I recognized for myself that my insight was opened to an world wide sight. Others' memorable experiences must be enough to lead my insight toward the world, great communication.

Academics

Edmonds Community College is located perfectly for all students including international students, which means easy transportation, close big mall area, and near the nice ocean. Recently, students might be increasing for Business major, so many classes would be full. Most of teachers are instructors, but not often professors. There are many college courses for different majors such as two year degree courses and transfer courses which students can choose course for their purposes. sometimes, it is hard to find out parking places, and so on.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Many securities are walking around buildings, so as to give a chance to talk about needs of all students and focus safety. In the tutoring center, many tutors are always very busy to help students, and students usually students get answers for their questions so that many students would satisfy.

Overall

Edmonds Community College seems like good preperation for transfer to a 4 year college. Grading can be tough at times, as it is based on 4.0 system. It is possible to get any point grade not just A,B,C ect.

Academics

The computer science program is pretty good. There is a Java sequence and a C++ sequence as well as other offerings. I have found the professors to be knowledgeable and the material challenging. Class size is small.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Parking can be tight. The computer labs are good and all software needed is available in them as well as available for download if you are a computer science student. There is some crime on campus but I feel safe.

Overall

I recently moved to Washington from Connecticut and plan on attending Edmonds Community College as an engineering student starting in the winter quarter. I was attending Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Connecticut previous to my relocation. I held a 4.0 GPA in my math classes there including pre-calculus, calculus 1, and calculus 2. My overall GPA is a 3.88. So far I have met with an advisor at my new school who seemed very friendly and professional. I have not yet had the pleasure of attending class there, but will starting in January. A college education is of great importance to me because I am medically disabled due to Crohn's disease. Previously I was a chef but think I will make a much better engineer. I don't have much to offer as far as experiences at Edmonds, due to the fact that I have not started yet. But, the only advise I can offer is make sure to sign up early for your classes because they fill up quickly.

Academics

Once again, I haven't started classes at Edmond's yet so can't really describe my classes yet. At my previous college in Norwich Connecticut I found my professors to be helpful and dedicated to every students education. I especially enjoyed my calculus professor.

Campus Facilities & Safety

So far the atmosphere that I have witness while visiting Edmonds has been typical of most campuses that I have scene. It seems large for a community college. The campus seems safe and there appears to be plenty of parking. The staff I have dealt with so far seem to be very helpful and ready to assist you in what ever you need.
