The East Campus of the Black Hawk College in Galva, Illinois, home of Illinois’s largest agriculture transfer program, offers exceptional two-year degree and certificate programs.
The Prairie Pointe Apartments are available to house students on the East Campus. Students living in these apartments have easy access to the campus, recreational fitness center, library and computer center.
East Campus is home to award-winning collegiate judging teams in: crops and soils, horse judging and livestock judging.
The East Campus also provides students with a large agriculture center, which includes more than 65 horse stalls, classrooms and a 100 foot by 250 foot indoor arena.
Academics include career and transfer programs in fields like the Liberal Arts, Applied Sciences, Equestrian Science/Horse Science and Organic Field Production.
Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript or GED along with their application. Other registration requirements include taking a COMPASS assessment test, meet with an academic advisor and attend a new student orientation session.
Tuition is set lower for in-district Illinois residents. Out-of-district Illinois residents and Iowa residents also receive a tuition discount.
Financial aid is available to eligible students who file a FAFSA in the form of scholarships, federal grants, student loans and student employment opportunities.
