One of the most beautiful campus'. Everyone is friendly and the professors are excellent. On campus and off campus is amazing though off campus can be dangerous at night.

Overall

UC has several ranked colleges such as DAAP and CCM. Students are diverse & tend to be very hard-working. There's a huge "minding my own business" city mentality here, so if you are from a small friendly town, you must be willing to face some adjustment. Education quality and the tuition price is decent, especially if you major in design, engineering, music, or theater. The co-op program/internships give you real world experience and money, so signing-up for them will help you land a better job after graduation. The Onestop bureaucracy is not cool. But like most students, just keep track of your stuff.

Academics

Overall, I am pleased with the academics at UC. Workload & education quality depends on your major.

College Life

Downtown Cincinnati & Newport is a lot of fun if you like art galleries, clubbing, or eating. UC's social atmosphere just depends on you. It's an urban atmosphere, and everyone tends to mind their own business. Get involved & get to know people. Or nothing will never happen. Don't walk at night because there's a lot of targeted crimes. There's a list of campus activities that anyone can join.

Overall

I participated in a small Masters of Science Program at the University of Cincinnati, the students and faculty were very friendly and helpful in welcoming a new student to the campus and area. I don't know much about the undergrad programs but the post-graduate experience was very good.

Academics

Masters studies class size was wonderful because there were usually less than twenty five students per class. The workload was heavy but that is expected for a one year Masters program. There were many PhD students that were willing to help the first year Masters students and they seemed genuinely concerned with helping in your success.

College Life

I lived off campus and did not participate in many sporting events or organizations. There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance of the school but I'd recommend having a car because the public transportation is not great or safe. Downtown Cincinnati and North Kentucky have some wonderful bars, clubs and restaurants.

Overall

What I really like most about University of Cincinnati, is that my family is near the school, so I can still meet friends but still be family oriented. I love how Cincinnati is up North and that I'm down south, it's something that is out of my comfort zone but I am willing to go forward with. I have never been out of Tennessee and I feel this will be an excellent opportunity for me to experience new things, meet new people, and be on my own.

Academics

I haven't been to college at all, and I don't know why I waited so long, but it is time to make something of myself. It's time to make my family proud. I want professors who are active in the class, they challenge you to do your best because they want to see you try. I don't want a hefty class with a lot of people, because it's hard for the professor to focus on each of their students. I want professors that care about you and care that you succeed.

College Life

I won't be able to describe the social atmosphere, but what i do expect is a diversity, an atmosphere where I can get along with my fellow classmates. I love clubs, especially clubs that have to do with music, dance, and volunteer work. I love sports so attending basketball games and football games are on my list as well, and my weekend activities would include hanging with my family/friends, go to a party no drinking no smoking just listen to good music and have fun.

Overall

I am really excited to be going to this school in the fall, I have visited this school several times now. I love the atmosphere and I also can't wait to join Student Government. One thing I am a little worried about though is the night life, there is a lot of news stories about what happens at night on campus.

Academics

I am going to be double majoring in Chemistry and Biology, I will also be getting a minor in Forensic, to work in the Forensic's field. University of Cincinnati really seemed like the better choice for me to do this.

College Life

I plan to not live in a dorm, but live at my home, across the river. The club that I am really excited about joining is the Student Government, when I went on a tour they talked about how they were responsible for the car exchange program, and all sorts of neat things. I am planning on buying pepper spray however because of the news telling how scary the campus is at night.
