Student Ratings

Student at This School - Grad Year 2014

Academics Rating

As far as classes go, I think that the number and range of classes and programs offered are very good. For being a small private school, there is a large number of different options that the school offers in regard to majors and minors. The one negative part is that a lot of different classes seem to be scheduled at the same time of the day on the same day, so it can sometimes be a little difficult to create the perfect schedule for a semester. The professors that I have had are all great and they are extremely helpful. They are more than willing to help you succeed, and will help you if you are just willing to ask them. The workload seems pretty typical. It doesn't seem overly demanding for the most part, and it also doesn't seem to simple or easy either. Class sizes are around 20 to 30 people for the most part, which makes for a very friendly and interactive environment.

Academics Rating

Valparaiso university is known for its nursing programs however there is a variety of classes and majors here. The professors work with the students on a one on one level. The class sizes are relatively small ranging from 15 to 20 students. The workload is tough but anyone can handle it as long as they are willing to put forth the work.
