Lamar Community College (LCC) may be the smallest of the Colorado community colleges, but is well known for its Agriculture and Equine programs, in addition to its Livestock Judging, and is the host educational institute for the Pierre Auger Cosmic Ray Observatory North.
LCC offers an array of academics ranging from Business and Computer Science to Cosmetology and Graphic Design.
This school specializes in transfer programs that qualify students for admission to four-year colleges and universities, in addition to lifelong academic development.
All students must submit an application and immunization records prior to registration. The admissions requirements vary depending on educational background, but each applicant must submit their transcripts and test scores.
Athletes are asked to submit a medical examination report and all documentation must arrive at LCC no later than two weeks prior to assessment and course enrollment.
Lamar Community College offers financial aid through grants, scholarships, loans and work-study to those who qualify. Out-of-state residents will find that their tuition fees are higher than an in-state resident’s tuition. On top of tuition, students may be asked to pay fees for independent study, labs, use of the fitness center and NUR fees.
50% of students gave Lamar Community College 4 stars overall.
What I like about LCC is the people here at the school they are very friendly, and willing to help in anyway they can . The school in small with only 3 buildings and not a huge campus either, I am studying HTM (horse training management) are teacher who teach this course are one of the top teachers and are willing to help in an way they possibly can't when we are ridding colts in our class
The school as a whole is not that bad in a general perspective. I would like to see a few more classes that are specified for certain degrees but other than that it is acceptable. I like the small school atmosphere as most of the people know each other and the teachers know the majority of the students.
