The Salon Professional Academy, Lexington

The Salon Professional Academy in Lexington, Kentucky, has been one of Kentucky’s leaders in producing exceptional beauty care professionals through its innovative cosmetology curriculum developed through a close partnership with Redken NYC.

At the academy, the goal is to prepare you not only for the Kentucky licensure examination, but also for a lifelong career. You will learn virtually all aspects of a cosmetology career, from basic nail and skin care to the most advanced hair coloring, styling and cutting techniques.

Before you start learning technical skills, you will learn all about human anatomy and physiology so that you will receive a well-rounded education. By the end of the program, you will also be well-versed in the critical business skills needed to properly operate a salon and work in retailing.

Your instructors, who will provide you with personalized attention, encourage you to develop your own creative spark during your training so that you can help make Kentucky more unique.

Once you graduate, which can be done in as little as 13 months, the academy will provide you with job placement assistance so that you can gainful employment right away.
