About Broward College, Pembroke Pines

The South Campus of Broward College in Pembroke Pines, Florida, offers a wide variety of college credit, community education and technical education courses to serve the needs of its diverse student population.

Student life on South Campus strives to accommodate students all backgrounds. Students may gain leadership experience by joining the Student Government Association, make friends with similar interests in an array of student clubs or participate in community development activities.

The South Campus also contains the Aviation Institute, which offers four different degree programs to prepare students for FAA certification in the aviation industry.

An extensive art library is also housed on the South Campus, allowing students to enrich themselves in a number of exhibits from celebrated artists from all over the world.

Academics include general education and pre-major courses for an associate’s of arts degree, associate’s of science degrees and technical certifications. Associate’s of science and technical programs are offered in Multimedia Technology, Office System Technology, Business Administration and Legal Assisting.

To be considered for enrollment, students must send in an official high school transcript or GED and proof of residency document along with their application. Applications are available on the school’s admissions website.

Florida residents receive a tuition discount. To be considered for financial aid, students must submit a FAFSA. Forms of aid include Broward scholarships, loans, grants and work-study programs.

Unfortunately, I am not attending Broward ommunity College currently, but I do have high recomendations from both family and friends. I have also had the opportunity to visit the campus serveral times. I do not have any memorable experiences yet, but I hope to soon. Finally, I hope to attend and be a proud graduate.
