N/A. Located in a terrible area. Facilities are outdated. The computers and technology rarely work and it can often be difficult to find a spot to study in the library.

College Life Rating

Since the School of Nursing and my housing were located at the Medical Campus in Washington Heights, it took much more effort to go downtown, compared to students attending the main campus. Not too many people were satisfied with what Washington Heights could offer in terms of nightlife. A wine bar, a pub, and a very small handful of restaurants were all you had to choose from when I was living there. It is an interesting neighborhood with a huge Dominican population. The Cloisters just north of campus are a must see. But if you really wanted to see NYC, then the A train is just a block away from your door. Regarding safety, I never felt unsafe in any part of NYC. There are areas in San Francisco that I would never go through, but NYC was clean and safe for the most part. Special bonus: My husband and I were amazed at the generous size of our Junior 1 bedroom apartment in the Towers. The views from our bedroom window looked out onto the beautiful GW bridge and Hudson River and we had the luxury of a doorman for all of our packages. Gym and pool in the basement.
