Overall

I love Marshall for many reasons. First, I love the security of the campus. Second, everyone is friendly, one doesn't run into a mean person. Lastly, I love how successful I feel at the end of the day. I have already learned a lot of information.

Academics

I have very skilled and well trained professors. They are willing to help with anything and answer any questions you may have. As for the class size, they are perfect for me. They range at around 35-40 people.

College Life

I love the clubs and organizations I'm involved with. I am a member of the Red Cross, Student Ambassadors, Marshall Maniacs, and Hall counsel. It feels great to volunteer and help with the clubs. It is also a great way to meet new people. I am honored to be running for the executive position for Student Ambassadors and for Red Cross secretary.

Overall

I really enjoy how everybody is so involved and has created a close-knit community all throughout campus. Even as one goes through campus, people they do not know say 'hello' and are apt to make friends. It is a comforting feeling.

Academics

The classes are challenging, just as they should be for a college level. The sizes are small however, and while there is a great deal of work to be done every evening, a lot is learned in every class. The acedemics are great.

College Life

There is always something going on, on campus. Events from music to food to games are always something to look forward to. Everyone is very active in everything that is held and happen every week it seems!

Overall

Huntington WV is a great school town. A great place to focus and find great balance in a students life style. The school keeps growing in sports and academic departments and great support from the alumni and the community. Marshall has a good med school program as well as renowned forensic science program

Academics

I studied Economics and the class size was not big with just 13 people in that class. there is great opportunity to interact closely with professors as well as classmates. the professors are well respected in their fields and a very good group that make themselves available for the students

College Life

Huntington is a well rounded community and a typical school town. Sports is a big part of the school with strong interests in football, basketball, soccer and baseball. There are a lot of clubs and bars relative to the size of the town which cater to all kinds of life styles

Overall

Marshall is a great school if you're looking for an urban campus with lots of things to do. Located right downtown, it is close to the Riverfront and a hopping nightlife. Marshall is a school that has grown tremendously over the past several years, adding both a college of law and a college of medicine. Athletically, it has completely recovered from the loss of its entire football team in a plane crash several years ago, but the shared tragedy makes for a close sense of community among students and faculty.

Academics

Class sizes vary, but most of the ones I was in were no more than 30 people. My professors knew me by name and would inquire about classwork on which I was working when I ran into them between classes

College Life

As I mentioned before, the University is located in a downtown urban area. Huntington is big enough to have most of the amenities of a large city but still small enough that you will run into friends and classmates anywhere you go out.

Overall

Marshall University has always been a first on my list of colleges I'm interested in going to. Back in 2009 I wasn't planning on getting a college degree, but I went up to the school with my Dad (Marshall alumni) as he was showing some possible future students around and I fell in love with the whole school, then began to consider attending it once I graduated from High School. The campus is beautiful and the faculty is so friendly.

Academics

I have not yet applied to Marshall, therefor I do not know what the classes/programs, professors, workload, class size, etc. is like. However, when my Father attended in the 1980's, he was very pleased with the professors and classes.

College Life

The social atmosphere of Marshall University is captivating. In the warmer months, the grass is so green and the beautiful fountains outside of the buildings are very intriguing. It is a very safe campus and as far as athletics, they have a wonderful gymnasium with a swimming pool and work out equipment.
