Social life is based on how involved you would like to be. There are hundred of clubs and organizations you can be apart of such as Greek Life. Every person you get involved has something to offer you and I believe that has made life here a lot easier. The offerings consist of anything from help with your academics all the way to having a lifting buddy at the gym. Our athletics might not be as advanced as a D-1 college, but there are still opportunities for you to be able to live your dream of playing a college varsity sport. Weekends are defiantly the best time for you to relax and hang out with friends. There is always something going on for you to attend and be apart of. The safety aspect for this campus is higher than normal campuses since it is smaller and everyone is more worried about class rather than engaging in unsafe activities.

S&T does have a reputation for being a school with a lot of drinking that occurs. It isn't the only thing to do, though. I love that we are so close to the Mark Twain National Forest because I can go out and hang up a hammock on the weekends and get away. I never worry about safety here.
