Overall

I like the fact that it is very diverse and you can meet new people. I met all my current friends here at this school in my freshman year and we are closer than ever and they are my support system. I also love going to panther prowl with my friends and meeting new friends. I also like the convenience of the location of the school because it is right on the Marta line as far as the bus and train. I like it because it is close to where I spent most of my childhood on Auburn ave.

Academics

I think that school is ripping people off because you are required to take certain classes to graduate and you are having to hope that you can get into a class because they make the class sizes so small. For instance there may be a psychology class that you have to take and they only allow 35 students into the class and you would think that you should be able to get in but if you last name comes at the end of the alphabet by the time it gets yo your time to register the class is already full. My last name being Turner, I am constantly dealing with this issue. Also I believe tuition is too high here, especially because they have cut the semester short to 9 months, actually if you count the weeks its less than that. I don't discriminate against other cultures and language but if you are requiring me to take a statistics class then the teacher you put in front of me needs to be able to speak clear English because that is not a class where you should have to guess what the teacher is saying.

College Life

Campus safety isn't great. When I was staying on campus I only saw security during the day but at night they were no where to be found, and considering that's when most crimes are committed they should be out there for help. The school is very good about alerting you when something like a robbery has occured but they don't do anything to prevent it because they are never around. I remember one night walking down piedmont ave. and saw one of the security guards flirting with a girl. Shortly after getting into my dorm, I checked my email and got an alert from the school saing someone had just been robbed on that same street. I feel the person was robbed because that security guard was too busy flirting instead of protecting the school and it's students.

Overall

GSU the greatest customer service from the very first moment you enter the college. Information is clear and helpful. Campus security is top of the line. Your are given an access card that also give you access to fine dining and great food.

Academics

The programs are great. The class size is very big. The Professors make available time for the sutdents to visit and discuss class work. The work load is big but as long as you prioritize and use time management you will be on top and on time.

College Life

Social atmosphere is great, so many clubs everyone should find one, there is opportunity to start one if you happen to not find your suit. Campus security is the best. Weekend activities are equal to none.

Overall

Overall not a bad school. It could use some improvements but all schools can too.

Academics

The classes aren't too hard, however some classes are so hard that they have a supplemental instruction portion that they literally beg students to take! Class size is actually pretty small, and the work load isn't small but it's not heavy either. It seems just right.

College Life

Don't know, but from what I've heard its greek organizations have the closest integration I've heard of. Not the typical bickering that normally happens when frats and sororities get around each other. The Police on the campus are literally around every corner. A plus seeing as you are in the heart of downtown Atlanta.
