UNK’s small classes provide students with an optimum learning experience. Outside of class, students also learn through various activities such as research projects and internships.
UNK guarantees admission to any student who took the core course requirements, ranked in the top half of their class and received a combined verbal and math SAT score of at least 950 or an ACT score of at least 20. Those who do not meet these requirements may still apply for admission by filling out an application and submitting transcripts and standardized test scores.
UNK awards financial aid through various sources including need-based loans and grants. UNK also offers scholarships to help pay for tuition. Each scholarship has different criteria, which could include a student’s academic performance or intended major.

Although I don't currently live in the dorms I recommend any student to live in them for al least a year. It really helps you meet new people and get into the college life. I also highly recommend not to work if you a freshman and can afford it. This university is one of the cheaper ones but you can still get a good education here.
