I think texas a&m is a great school for someone who wants tradition, and a family to grow up with. There are tons of organizations you can be in and the students are intelligent as so are the professors.
Academics
Classes are large, professors can be some what lenient at times. and the workload depends on what major you get in such as me I am a general studies student and I am taking basics but trying to get into animal sciences.
College Life
several traditions for all, tons of fun clubs, from politics to fun and crazy ones. Campus is safe, and the athletics team is pretty good. Not really much to do around here if you're not in an organization

Texas A&M fosters a relationship among all those that attend. Professors, Athletes, Other students and staff are all there to support each other though school and afterwards. If camaraderie, trust, and dependability are what you are looking for in a school - you have found one that meets all of these criteria and then some.
Academics
Some classes were huge - but that is the norm for a large state school. Professors provided information that was needed and many times went out of their way to provide additional assistance when needed.
College Life
There is a social life aspect for any and all, but you are not forced to participate. However, the atmosphere of the school encourages and entices involvement. There are on campus and off campus possibilities. There is always something happening on the campus if you want to participate in social activities at the university.

Texas A&M is a great university. It offers a "small town" feel with all the experiences of a large university. Academically, students will be challenged. School spirit is strong and the Corps of Cadets brings a sense of tradition and pride to the student body. Texas Aggie football adds to the overall college experience as well. I highly recommend it to all prospective students.
Academics
As with any large university, freshman classes can be huge and overwhelming. However, there are plenty of opportunities for tutoring, study groups and conferencing with professors. Some I my most memorable experiences academically were in the classes with less than 20 students.
College Life
There are plenty of opportunities for socializing both on and off campus. The Memorial Student Center offers many student organizations and events making it easy to join in. The campus is beautiful. I always enjoyed seeing seasonal flowers and also liked the friendliness of the students. You can't beat the traditions!
