Reviews for Fordham University, Bronx
Loved my experience at Rose Hill. When I walked on to campus for the first time, it began to snow and that was the moment that I knew. The buildings, the feeling I got walking around campus, the students - it all made Fordham the perfect college campus for me.
Once I chose a major, the further I got into my courses the fewer students were in each class. My senior year I only had a handful of students in each course. Participation was a given and the professors really knew everyone's name. No T.A.s to run class and even the department heads still taught. Most of my professors were published in their field and I really felt that I was being challenged and getting an education. I can still recall particular class discussions, over 10 years later!
I was a successful student-athlete in high school but when I got to college, it just wasn't the same. The team didn't have a unified feel like my h.s. teams had. By chance, I wound up going with a friend to the Debate Society meeting. My first thought was: what a bunch of nerds! Four years later, I had traveled the to three continents (Europe, Asia and Australia) on the school's dime, been the first female President in 147 years of the club and I graduated receiving both awards that the debate team gives at Encaenia. I had found myself and I was a total nerd!!!
