Widely recognized as one of the top 20 public universities in the nation, “The” Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, provides students an exceptional educational experience. Besides its high-quality academics, it also offers students plenty of world-class research opportunities, especially in the fields of biotechnology, medical technology, cancer and climate change.
Since Ohio State University is a land grant institution, it maintains facilities throughout the state. This allows students to immerse themselves in integrative learning programs that may be conducted at research centers and other locations in any of Ohio’s 88 counties. Some programs include science research partnerships, art partnerships and health and wellness research projects.
Students will not have to leave the campus to gain access to the university’s learning resources, however, as the Columbus campus contains a number of upscale facilities like the Waxner Center for the Arts, Jack Nicklaus Museum, Lawrence and Lee Theatre Research Institute and the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center.
College life at Ohio State is friendly and exciting. You will have plenty of opportunities to bond with classmates as you attend concerts and theatre productions at the Schottenstein Center or volunteer to help Columbus through economic and community development initiatives.
And, of course, there are the Ohio State Buckeyes. The athletic program is a big part of college life at OSU, and you will find most of the student body cheering on the football team on Saturdays in autumn.
No matter where your professional goals lie, Ohio State has a program for you. More than 175 undergraduate degrees are offered, not to mention more than 100 concentrations, minors and pre-professional programs. Some include:
