The Saline County Career Center's goal is to provide a school and community partnership in education and a quality educational opportunity for life long learning.Saline County Career Center promotes a safe and success oriented environment where all students can develop technical and employable skills required in business and in continuing education.
Our programs will help students acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to become lifelong learners and be a productive citizen in a democratic society.
We offer a program that prepares individuals to provide basic administrative support under the supervision of office managers, administrative assistants, secretaries, and other office personnel. Includes instruction in typing, keyboarding, filing, general business correspondence, office equipment operation, and communications skills.
We also offer a program that prepares individuals to assist in providing general nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, physician or dentist. Includes instruction in taking patient vital signs, applying sterile dressings, patient health education and assistance with examinations and treatment.
The Saline County Career Center is located on the west side of Marshall, next to the high school football fields. It is easily accessible from Highway 65, and a short drive from neighboring towns such as Slater and Sweet Springs.
