Interested in the healing arts? Tai Sophia Institute’s mission is to make it possible for students to not only achieve their goal of pursing and excelling in the healing arts, but to reach their personal goals of career, change and welfare. Tai graduates are ready to open or join a clinical practice or to engage in leadership roles within their community in areas like healthcare, law and education. All students, as well as faculty and staff, follow a values statement which guides their work.
Tai Sophia Institute offers graduate level training in the areas of:
- Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
- Nutrition and Herbal Medicine
- Applied Philosophy and Practices
- Integrative Health Sciences
They also offer community education programs and continuing education classes for professionals. Completion of academic programs results in obtaining master’s degrees, graduate certificates or post-master’s certificates.
Tai Sophia Institute provides a natural care center, faculty-supervised student clinics and community clinics to the public. Student/faculty ratio ranges from 5:1 to 2:1 to ensure intensive, experiential direction from faculty.
Admission is based on individual merit, and prospective students must furnish transcripts along with the appropriate application fee and essay. Tai Sophia prides itself on its diversity and inclusiveness, with a commitment to broadening its diversity in student body, staff and administration.
Financial aid is available to eligible students after they have completed the FAFSA. Aid is in the form of student loans, scholarships, fellowships and veteran’s benefits. All prospective students are strongly encouraged to visit the campus and schedule a meeting with an admissions counselor before applying.
After acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit is required to hold a seat in class. This deposit is applied to tuition upon matriculation. Tuition rates are set each academic year. Current tuition rates for each program can be accessed on the school web site under shared pages in the site map.
