Description

Lassen Community College is a two-year educational institution that gives its students many learning opportunities and resources. It has certificate and associate’s degree programs in areas such as Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Gunsmithing and Journalism.

Courses can be taken on campus, online, or through interactive television. Community Services Education is an additional program at the school that is provided to those who want supplementary instruction in certain academic areas. However, these classes do not count toward college credit.

In addition to academics, the school has an array of athletic programs, clubs, and organizations available to students who want to participate in extracurricular activities. It also offers financial aid in the form of grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study to qualifying applicants.

The school has advisors that prepare interested students for transfer to a four-year university, and counselors to help them get ready for entry into the workforce after graduation. On an ongoing basis, it has adult continuing education courses and a community service program available as well.

Lassen Community College even has an elaborate Child Development Center onsite that provides childcare services, and students are given first priority.
