WVUTech Description

Highly successful graduates, strong programs in engineering, business and other fields and life-experience credits for adult learners are some of the highlights of West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

Academics at WVU Tech include bachelor’s degrees in such fields as Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Engineering Technology. At the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, major fields of study encompass everything from Business Management to Criminal Justice to Nursing to Public Service Administration. Pre-professional programs are also offered in Medicine, Dentistry, Law and other fields.

Beyond the traditional undergraduate degree, WVU Tech boasts a highly innovative program that accommodates adult learners. The Regents bachelor’s program allows its adult students to enroll in the same traditional courses and programs while also getting additional credits for life experience. To further support adult students in getting their degree, the Regents program also offers online courses.

Located in the small West Virginia town of Montgomery, the local lifestyle is laid back, safe and abundant with nature and outdoor activities such as hiking and white water rafting.

On campus there are many opportunities for students to become involved: a school newspaper, more than 30 student clubs and performing arts organizations are just some of what WVU Tech offers.

Career services, internship options, tutoring and financial aid packages for qualified students are also available.

The WVU Tech admissions department evaluates students primarily by their academic record and test scores.
