Located in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College offers two-year training in a variety of in-demand fields.
Academics at A-B Tech include over 50 associate degree programs and more than 60 certificate programs in everything from Accounting to Welding. A-B Tech is particularly proud of its Culinary Arts and Engineering programs, with the Culinary Team performing in national competitions.
There are also non-credit continuing education classes available, and many credit and non-credit courses can be taken online or at a distance learning center.
Tuition is considerably lower for in-state residents of North Carolina than for out-of-state residents. However, financial aid is available to those who qualify. There are even specialized scholarships for students in Engineering, Culinary Arts and other programs.
Admissions often require a placement test, which can be scheduled online. High school students may also attend A-B Tech by joining the dual enrollment program.
