Description
Altoona Beauty School has been in business for nearly 60 years, providing quality cosmetology education to Blair County residents. Today, the school offers a variety of academics to suit the rapidly growing needs of the beauty industry.
Altoona Beauty School currently features the following specialized training programs:
- Electrology
- Esthetician
- Cosmetology
- Teaching
- Nail Technician
These programs vary in length and scope. At 1250 hours, the Cosmetology program is the longest. It is also the most extensive, covering hairstyling, wigs, nail care, skin care, anatomy and more. Due to the more specific subject matter, the Electrology program is the shortest, running just 126 hours.
Financial aid is available at Altoona Beauty School. The most prominent source of assistance is federal financial aid programs, such as Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans. These programs are based on need, and can greatly reduce the burden of tuition.
Altoona Beauty School’s admissions process requires three campus visits. Throughout these visits, you’ll meet with an admissions representative, tour the facilities, and fill out your application and financial aid documentation. A $50 enrollment fee is also required.
