Traxler's School of Hair is dedicated to the training of professionals in the hairstyling industry. The school's philosophy is to encourage students to become the best hairstylist they can be and reach toward their goals in life. The staff at Traxler's School of Hair is dedicated to providing students with the necessary training to become eligible to take the State Board Examination and become a licensed hairstylist professional.
We are fully accredited and licensed by the State Cosmetology Board of Mississippi.

Barbering/Barber
Barbering students learn the art of shaving and trimming facial/neck hair and beards, cutting and dressing hair, fitting hairpieces, giving facial and scalp massages, and applying cosmetic treatments. Barbering students also prepare for licensure as professional barbers at various levels. To promote the success of barbering students, these two year programs include instruction in hair and scalp anatomy and physiology, hairpiece and toupee fitting, equipment operation, health and safety, customer service, and shop business practices. Cosmetology, Barber/Styling, and Nail Instructor
A program that prepares cosmetologists, barbers, stylists, nail technicians, and other grooming specialists to teach their specializations in licensed and accredited schools of cosmetology and barbering, and to prepare for licensure as instructors. Includes instruction in cosmetology arts and sciences teaching principles; student learning styles; professional curricula development; instructional planning; instructional methods and aids; student counseling and career assistance; test development; and classroom/clinic management.
