Nicolet is a public community college serving Northern Wisconsin from its Lake Julia Campus on Lake Julia south of Rhinelander, from the Lakeland Campus in Minocqua, and from other instruction centers located within the Nicolet District. The College offers one- and two-year careerLake Julia Campus of Nicolet Area Technical College diplomas and degrees, liberal arts university transfer studies, and a comprehensive continuing education program.
About 1,500 students take credit classes each semester. About 10,000 people a year utilize some aspect of the college through Business and Community Education, the Nicolet Live! Arts and Speakers Series, Outdoor Adventure Series, Basic Education, Richard J. Brown Library, and the Art Gallery.
The Nicolet campus in Rhinelander is located on County Highway G. The campus is situated on 280 acres of forest on the shores of Lake Julia.
