Description
In addition to getting beauty arts training, at Capitol School of Hairstyling and Esthetics in Omaha, Nebraska, students get additional skills and tools and professional opportunities to make them even more marketable in the industry.
The main programs of study at Capitol School are in Cosmetology and Esthetics. Students in both of these programs are assigned to work in the school salon, styling hair and offering other services to the public. There is also a Teacher-Education program for licensed cosmetologists who want to teach others their trade.
In addition to these major areas of study, Capitol School provides advanced courses of study. Students are also trained in such spa procedures as hydrotherapy, reflexology and aromatherapy.
Professional opportunities include the chance to work at photo shoots and fashion shows and to study with visiting beauty artists.
In addition to all of the connections gained through various school activities, students get connected to possible future employers through the school’s job-placement service.
Those who are interested in applying will need to meet with an admissions counselor and take a placement exam.
Students may also apply for financial aid to help pay for tuition.
