Home to one of the country’s most prestigious music schools, as well as uniquely flexible undergraduate programs and an award-winning faculty, Rochester University in Rochester, New York, has received recognition from numerous publications for its challenging academics and research activities.

Rochester University is a school that values the arts, and thus provides numerous activities related to artistic expression.

Rochester University’s undergraduate majors are offered through the divisions of Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Engineering. Rochester is also home to a medical school and other graduate and professional programs, such as one in Business and one in Nursing.

Historically a top-ranking conservatory, Rochester’s Eastman School of Music is one of its more outstanding academic offerings.

A research university, Rochester conducts research activities in such fields as Medicine, Nuclear Science, Biomedical Engineering and others.

Rochester’s undergraduate academics also offer a unique flexibility, allowing students to focus almost exclusively on their major while taking only three general education requirements in disciplines of their choice.

The campus has are several art galleries, as well as theatre and dance productions and more than 20 student organizations dedicated to music, theatre and dance.

Prospective undergraduates will need to submit an application, transcripts, recommendation letters and SAT scores. If they need assistance with tuition costs, students may also apply for financial aid.
