In the stunning location of Kolonia, Pohnpei Micronesia, the FSM campus of University of Micronesia educates those who are interested in working in the Marine Engineering and Fisheries industries.
Situated against a backdrop of lush, green mountains, the FSM campus offers a beautiful setting in which to pursue degrees in Marine Engineering, Fishing Technology and Navigation.
These focused areas of study demand great attention and require a serious level of academic commitment. FSM offers student life activities through sports and recreation, and a student association to allow students to relax and unwind.
Tutoring, counseling and health services are also in place to give FSM students added support.
In order to qualify for admissions to the program, students must have a high school diploma or GED, a minimum GPA and a passing score on the school entrance exam.
Those who do not meet these minimum requirements may still be admitted on conditional status, with the understanding that once at FSM they raise their GPA.
Students may apply for Pell grants, work-study programs, state scholarships and other forms of financial aid.
