A small school located in a charming small town, Pima Medical Institute in Renton, Washington offers an intimate and personal environment in which to train for today’s top medical careers.
Pima has additional locations in Albuquerque, Denver, Seattle and Las Vegas, among other places.
However, it’s the Pima location that offers intimacy to help foster learning. In classes that are small, students get one-on-one attention from faculty as they train for such careers as medical assisting, occupational therapy assisting, veterinary assisting and pharmacy technology.
Students also get one-on-one attention from career counselors, who work with them to define career goals and polish resume and interview skills. They provide job search assistance not only for recent graduates, but well after graduation as well. Pima career services also assigns students to internships or externships while they are still in school so that they might get valuable job training and experience.
With its parks, trails and local museum, Renton offers a charming and scenic environment that has been ranked as one of the most appealing small towns in the United States.
Admission requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a personal interview, submission of an application and a passing score on the Pima entrance exam. Financial aid is available to qualifying students.
