The Central Campus of the Broward College in Davie, Florida, offers a rich and diverse student life to complement its exceptional education programs.
Students who attend the Central Campus have access to the Buehler Planetarium and Observatory and Baily Concert Hall. Any interested student may attend any of the sessions in the planetarium; you are not required to be an astronomy student. The building also has free telescope and solar observing opportunities.
The Bail Concert Hall regularly hosts cultural events and provides students with a variety of volunteer opportunities, from photography to clerical assistants to ushers.
The Student Activity Center ensures students can enjoy leisure time outside of the classroom by providing areas for relaxation, television and gaming.
Despite being a two-year institution, academics at the Central Campus include bachelor’s degrees in Teacher Education, Supervision and Management, Information Technology and Nursing. Other undergraduate degrees and certificate programs are available in fields like Fire Technology, History and Political Science.
Students interested in law enforcement may receive top training through the school’s Institute of Public Safety.
Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript or GED and proof of residency along with their application. Florida residents receive discounted tuition.
Financial aid is available to students who have filed a FAFSA. Forms of aid include student loans, federal grants, work-study programs and scholarships.
