Located among the beautiful hills and valleys of southwestern Wisconsin, Southwest Tech is a comprehensive technical college standing ready to offer you excellent educational opportunities, a broad array of support services, and a student-friendly atmosphere.
General education courses provide work-oriented learning in communication, math, natural science, and social science. They are designed to help learners succeed in college, on the job, and in daily life.
All associate degree and most technical diploma programs at Southwest Tech have general education course requirements. What courses you'll need varies by program.
Activities and events are available year-round. Several motel and lodging choices are available, including the City of Fennimore RV park. You will find trout fishing in southwest Wisconsin's world-class streams. Area wild turkey hunting is outstanding. A nearby golf course, community walking trails, parks and municipal swimming pool are a few of the recreational possibilities in and near Fennimore.
Enjoy our two wonderful museums, the Fennimore Doll & Toy Museum & Gift Shoppe and the Fennimore Railroad Historical Society Museum - home of the "Dinky."
The Southwest Wisconsin Technical College Foundation, Inc., has provided on-campus student housing since 1997. The Foundation has three different types of apartment complexes that house 60 students annually: fourplex, duplex, and sixplex. The apartments have different features to meet the individualized needs of the students. Students sign a two semester lease with the Foundation. The on-campus student housing program is a center for group living, learning, and growth (social and academic).
