Detailed Ratings

Biola's greatest asset is the quality of its education. From the Torrey Honors program down to basic math, the quality is in the professors who are generally kind, intelligent and good educators. The education and the school are both very Christ-centered and focused on creating well rounded Christian people. The few drawbacks are the location in an quiety suburb of Los Angeles, where there is suprisingly little to do for fun.

In my personal opinion Biola was a school that had a "bubble" you needed to fit into. Unfortunately, I was not mature enough at the time of enrollment and did NOT fit in. I personally felt trapped and unable to focus on my studies because they did not have the Major I desired therefore making my first of college a very bad experience. I was forced to Major in Theology because the music program (my desired major) was extremely limited. If I had the choice to pick the school to attend Biola would not have been my first choice. Although, my favorite class was theology because I learned about wordly religions and not just Christianity which allowed me to have a more open mind about other religions. In the end I learned whether it be Buddah, Allah or just God ever religion has faith in a higher being who is in their interpretation their GOD!
