Take a year or so of your life to gain solid career training at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where you will get academic, personal, creative and in some cases even financial support.

Agricultural Technology, Carpentry, Nursing, Business, Dental Assisting, Fire Science, Radiologic Technology and Computer Repair are some of the fields you can train for at Iowa Central. Depending on whether you choose a diploma or associate’s degree, your program could take as little as nine months to complete.

The Career Creations program and Student Success Center are in place to support students as they try to plan which classes to take, whether to transfer to a four-year school, and what their future career will be and how they will launch it.

Several assistance programs are also in place for eligible students. These include the Workforce Investment Act, the Learn 2 Earn Program and the Trade Act program. In addition to providing financial aid, these programs will help students meet the challenges of attending and possibly returning to school after a long time away.

While at Iowa Central, you can also enjoy a wealth of performing arts opportunities either by joining performances yourself or by being a spectator. Theatre productions, including a yearly musical, dance recitals, musical concerts and talent showcases, are some of Iowa Central’s performing arts offerings.
