Description
A highly specialized school, AIB International focuses on food safety and supply. AIB International provides food inspections and technical services, conducts research and teaches seminars in food safety.
AIB also offers academics through its School of Baking, with a 16-week course in Baking Science and Technology. This comprehensive curriculum instructs students in the following topics:
- Cake and Sweet Goods Production
- Bread and Roll Production
- Baking Science
- Production/Operations Management
- Food Safety
If this full-time program is not practical, AIB International’s School of Baking also has short-term Career Paths programs leading to certification in the following areas:
- Bread and Rolls
- Cake and Sweet Goods
- Cookies and Crackers
- Ingredient Service Provider
These programs are largely self-paced and self-designed. You can choose the courses that are most relevant to your area of interest, and you have three years to finish the program from the date of enrollment.
Financial aid is available for students in the Baking Science and Technology program. The selection criteria for scholarships include your academic background, letters of recommendation and experience in the food industry. The school is also eligible for federal financial aid programs, such as Pell grants and PLUS loans.
