I want to go back to school and major in fashion design, but I am unsure about going to the Art Institute (Ai) because it is a bit expensive. My cousin from NJ went to the Art Institute in New York and took restaurant management and he loved it. But I have heard both good and bad things about it. Comments, please!

I went to the AIH (Houston) and recieved a degree in Visual Communication. Even though this was 12 years ago, I had friends who were in the fashion design program. They loved it. It is intense, and you cant miss any classes or you will fall behind. Its worth your money depending on what area you want to be in. Two of my friends ended up as buyers for department stores. One did go to new york but the competition is fierse there!. I think you need to figure out what area you want to work end AFTER you finish school and then decide. The AI is good for some areas, but not for all.
