School Description
Provided by Coleman University - San DiegoColeman University is a nonprofit San Diego based technical institution. Since 1963, Coleman has provided accelerated career training that has helped its students become leaders in the IT industry.
The mission of Coleman University is to prepare students for meaningful careers in the computer professions, while providing an environment where those who become a part of this academic community may develop their full potential as human beings.
Coleman consistently provides extensive hands-on experience for its students, who have ready access to the latest computer equipment. That's part of the Coleman difference. We expect our graduates to encounter a wide variety of technical events and problems on the job, so it makes sense for them to encounter them first during training.
The University has a large variety of computers, including PC, Macintosh, mid-range and mainframe. The equipment and software are updated on a regular basis. The multiple platforms are interconnected via a switched Ethernet backbone to provide students with maximum experience on the most prevalent computer systems used in business and industry.
We have many qualified and friendly instructors, a powerful mainframe and high-tech equipment to keep us on the cutting edge of technology. The knowledgeable administrative staff is also here to make students' academic learning process a wonderful and fulfilling time at Coleman University.

College Advice |
Question: References and reviews on Trade and Technical colleges.?Also, opinions from those who attended them. Right now I'm looking at Coleman College in San Diego and Herzing College in Birmingham, AL. Both these offer majors in Information/Internet Security which is what I'm looking for. Although it's a start, I believe there is more information out there then I've been able to find.24 months ago
Best AnswerI graduated from a 2 year Technical College with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Although I don't have reviews on any technical colleges near you, I loved it. The classes were small, thus allowing us our own computers in the lab environments. The teacher-to-student ratio was also small, but this was good because some of the teachers allowed us to call them at home for help with the homework. Going to college for only for 2 years allowed me to decide whether I wanted to go on to obtain my 4 year degree in the same field, or try something else (I'm still debating, btw). All of the credits are transferrable. Good luck! |
Question: Any body from San Diego California?Any body been to Coleman College, San Diego California!! I am planning to take up an MS which is a co-program. So I can anybody tell me How is the program! What is the main difference between a co-program and the other except, that I need to work while doing my MS24 months ago
Best AnswerYes I am from San Diego and yes I know about Coleman College. I have a couple of friends that went there and they all ended up with very good jobs after the 13 months or whatever it takes there. Good luck |
