Charlotte Technical Center in Port Charlotte, Florida offers high school students and adults career training that is innovative, fun and hands-on, and can help students achieve success.

CTC’s adult division offers full-time and part-time day and evening programs leading to careers in Early Childhood Education, Nursing Assistance, Cosmetology, Computer Science and others.

The high school branch of CTC offers career certifications in such marketable fields as Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting and Digital Design.

Additional programs for high school students, such as Visual Game Design and Game Programming, offer cutting edge and fun career opportunities.

Hands-on teaching methods that make learning enjoyable for everyone can be seen in the Culinary Arts program. Culinary Arts students cook the on-campus meals, regularly supplying a menu of varied dishes. This not only gives the students a chance to practice their skills, but also provides a welcome and enjoyable service to student, staff and faculty.

In all CTC classes, students get some form of hands-on training as well as one-on-one interaction with instructors who enjoy what they do.

Many CTC students also go on to secure promising careers in high-demand fields, with CTC’s career resources division helping them with resume writing, interviewing skills and job placement.

Financial aid is available through various sources including grants and loans, and is available to eligible students.
