FCC Description
A closely-knit campus environment that is committed to training students for Christian-oriented occupations, Florida Christian College is dedicated to nurturing faith and spirituality both in and out of the classroom.
Located in Kissimmee, Florida, Florida Christian College offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees in Bible Studies, Christian Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Counseling, Music Ministry and Preaching as well as a Teacher-Education program. Florida Christian also has several programs intended specifically for the working adult learner.
Academics and student life are integrated at Florida Christian. Students in each grade level are assigned to groups, which work together both in and out of the classroom.
Student life activities are mostly devoted to helping students to cultivate such Christian practices as prayer and service. Students have the chance to participate in missionary trips as well as community service. Students, faculty and staff also regularly engage in spiritual worship and religious services.
Other extracurricular opportunities include athletic and recreational opportunities as well as more than 30 student clubs.
Since the size of the school is fairly small and the majority of student’s live on campus there are also many chances to socialize and get to know fellow students.
The admissions department requires that students submit proof of a diploma or GED, two essays, several recommendation letters and standardized test scores.
Florida Christian has fixed-rate tuition, which means that a student pays the same tuition throughout the course of his or her time there.
Financial aid is available and may include scholarships, grants and loans.
