Description

Part of the highly established Louisiana technical college system, Louisiana Technical College in Folkes, Louisiana offers solid and up-to-date training in technical and other careers.

One of 40 campuses, the Folkes location of LTC offers a select number of programs in Business Office Technology, Nurse Assisting, Patient Care Technology and Welding.

More than 70 years old, LTC has had time to grow and expand both geographically and in its academics and teaching methods.

Consequently, LTC is always refining its programs to include the most current technologies and learning methods.

One way that LTC has done this is through comprehensive, real-world training, teaching students through the actual performance of their trade. A nursing or dental student will, for example, spend time working in a clinic and a student in the automotive division will repair cars.

Dedicated to serving as many students as possible, LTC does its best to provide financial aid to qualifying students. There are also certain tuition waivers for those experiencing financial hardship.

Admission requirements include proof of a high school diploma or GED and the passing of an entrance exam.
