SIUE Description
Originally established as a satellite to Southern Illinois University’s main campus in Carbondale, SIU Edwardsville has grown to become an impressive university in its own right.
In total, SIUE offers over 85 programs of study, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
Among the school’s diverse academic offerings, the School of Pharmacy is particularly well regarded. Completed in 2009, the School of Pharmacy offers state-of-the-art facilities and instruction for a rapidly growing field.
Student life at SIU Edwardsville provides several beneficial ways to get involved. The Kimmel Leadership Center provides numerous service opportunities, and the Student Leadership Development Program can help you hone essential skills for the workforce or further study.
Extensive financial aid is available at SIUE, including Illinois scholarships offered through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Several institutional scholarships are also available, based on a variety of criteria. Many of these scholarships require application, but some are awarded automatically. For example, the E Guarantee is awarded based on financial need to all students who complete the FAFSA.
