Description

Established over 50 years ago, the Elaine Steven Beauty College has a longstanding tradition of excellence in cosmetology training. The school is located in St. Louis, MO, and offers comprehensive and up-to-date training in the following subjects:

*Cosmetology, Hairdressing and Manicuring
*Instructor Training
*Nail Technician

The Cosmetology program is a 1500-hour course that can be completed in as few as 12 months. It covers all aspects of the beauty industry, from theory and technique to the business side of things.

The Instructor Training course is designed for currently licensed cosmetologists seeking to teach the craft to other students. This program is a relatively brief 600 hours and is usually completed in four to eight months.

The Nail Technician course consists of 400 clock hours, and covers the basics of manicuring and pedicuring. The program includes classes on the use of chemicals, hand and arm anatomy and artificial nail services.

Unlike many cosmetology schools, Elaine Steven Beauty College offers financial aid to its students in the form of scholarships. These partial-tuition awards go to eligible graduating seniors from Missouri high schools. The school also offers scholarships to its own graduates who enroll in the Instructor Training program.
