Accessible to students with various needs, Erwin Technical Center offers extensive accommodations for students interested in an education or career training, including special attention to the needs of disabled students.

Located in Tampa, Florida, Erwin Technical’s academics mainly consist of professional fields of study leading to promising careers. Automotive Repair, Barbering, Computer Science, Dental Assisting, Floral Design, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology and Welding are some examples of these professional study options.

A program for the hearing impaired provides deaf and hard of hearing students with classroom note-takers, captioning devices and other services and means of assistance.

Other special needs and handicapped students also have access to numerous support services.

Students who are neither disabled nor challenged by special needs may also benefit from the student services at Erwin. A licensed psychologist and social worker will provide counseling to those who need it, and career counselors helps students to plan career goals and provide job placement assistance.

The school also sponsors visitations and presentations from professionals in different fields for students who are unsure of their career plans or simply wish to learn more about a certain industry. Day and evening classes as well as part-time and full-time study options are all available as well.

Erwin has an open admissions policy, enabling students of all educational backgrounds to attend.

With the per-unit tuition for in-state residents costing about the same as a cup of coffee, Erwin’s accessibility extends to people of all economic backgrounds.
