With new programs being added all the time, the academics at SGTC are always expanding to meet current job market trends and to appeal to as many interests as possible.
Categorized by academic divisions, the degree and certificate programs at SGTC offer training in such fields as Business Management, Cosmetology, Crime Scene Investigation, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Pharmacy Technology and Medical Assisting.
Students who wish to get certified in a professional field in a matter of weeks or months may also take classes through continuing education.
While a high school diploma or GED is required for admission, students who do not yet have their diploma may also enroll in the adult education division’s GED-prep and Basic Skills courses.
Regardless of which program you’re in you may also benefit from the counseling division, which will not only help you to choose a career path, improve your resume and search for a job, but will also provide personal and crisis counseling when needed.
SGTC also does its best to assist students with tuition costs. In addition to a school scholarship, which is awarded to eligible students, SGTC offers tuition waivers for qualifying senior citizens as well as other forms of federal and state aid.
