Description

Located in Kirksville, Missouri, Kirksville Area Technical Center (KATC) is dedicated to providing quality vocational opportunities for the residents of Adair County. As part of the Kirksville School District, KATC was designed to provide adult education and vocational training to local residents and high school graduates.

Career training programs at KATC include nine concentrations, including Automotive Repair, Early Childhood Education, Construction, and Practical Nursing. Programs can be completed in one year of full-time study, or two years of part-time study.

Adult education and literacy services are also available through the institution. Local residents can earn their GED, take literacy courses, or learn English as a Second Language (ESL).

KATC provides student support services to help individuals succeed in their programs. Students can take advantage of career counseling, academic workshops, and vocational labs.

Students participating in the vocational training programs receive dedicated instruction from faculty members, and hands-on experience to promote vocational preparation. KATC is committed to providing quality programs that will enrich the region’s job market and vocational expertise.
