Description

One of the main community colleges in Arkansas, National Park Community College (NPCC) offers a number of academic and career programs, its teacher-education division being one of its most noteworthy.

It doesn’t hurt that NPCC is located right in between the beautiful Hot Springs National Park and the expansive Oachita National Forest, either!

The education program at National Park Community College for future elementary and middle school teachers has grown significantly in recent years. Now working jointly with Henderson State University, NPCC’s education program allows students to transfer more smoothly into becoming certified teachers.

National Park also offers numerous other associate’s degrees and vocational certificates in the arts, sciences, general studies and technical fields.

There are also non-credit continuing education programs for those seeking personal enrichment, basic adult education courses and even a program for high school students.

Career services at NPCC offers excellent, comprehensive help for students. This includes hosting job-specific and general career fairs, job referral services, career assessments, access to career-matching software and a combination of workshops and one-on-one career counseling.

Student and parent loans, Pell grants and work-study are some of the financial aid options available to eligible students, all of which may be read about on the highly detailed NPCC website.
