Question: Will I get accepted to the University of Kansas next year?

I have a 3.86 gpa and a 1150 sat score math and crit reading. I want to go there do you think i'll get in?

Your GPA is outstanding; nicely done. And although your SAT score is a bit low for some schools, you should be set up well for KU. Even if you live out of state, their admissions office only requires a 2.0 and a 1090, so you are in really good shape. Best of luck to you!

Question: Is it required to live in the dorm rooms at Kansas University (KU) your freshman year?

Nope. It's not required at Kansas State either.

Question: What are the requirements to recieve in-state tuition for Kansas University?

If anyone can give me this information it would be great! Im planning on moving back to Kansas when I'm 18 to attend college. I know that the minimum requirements for California colleges are to have a drivers license, and established residency.. but I'd like to know the requirements for Kansas University. If someone knows this information, or can find it for me, I'd appreciate it immensely!!! Thank You!

At most colleges, you have to live in that state for a year (sometimes two) while not enrolled in college. So if you move to Kansas and immediately start college, you will be considered an out-of-state student and will continue to be an out of state student your entire duration of time there if you continue to stay enrolled in college. For those under 21 years old, there are usually stipulations (besides what I mentioned above) that you be self supporting as well.

Question: Can anyone tell me about the University of Kansas college scene?

I've applied and visited KU but I have not been on campus while school was in session or checked out the nightlife. How is it?

Best Answer

Lawrence KS explodes when school is in session! Downtown Lawrence (Mass(achusettes) Street) has all kinds of bars (all non-smoking now i think). The night life is very enjoyable. Lawrence is probably the most diverse city i have ever been in, so if you don't find what you are looking for, you aren't looking that hard.

Univ of Kansas is pretty ok. The electrical department is ok. Nothing too great. The graduate program is like any Tier 2 univ in the US. Life in Kansas is relaxed, easy, and cheap. For more info on the university, go to http://www.ku.edu/
