Description

The University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts (USCA) offers students up-to-date training in Cosmetology, Esthiology, Nail Technology and Teaching, and, under the umbrella of USCA, the University of Spa & Massage Therapy (USMT) focuses on preparing students for a satisfying and successful career in massage therapy.

Admission to USMT is open to applicants at least 18 years old who are high school graduates or hold a GED. USMT applicants must also be proficient in English and physically able to perform the required movements.

Tuition includes all books and supplies, and may be paid through federal grants and/or loans.

Prospective students are encouraged to contact the school for assistance filling out the FAFSA. Financial aid is not presently available through state grants; however a scholarship is available to students who are recommended by a USCA student or licensed beauty professional.

Campus activities include social events, charity fundraisers, community involvement and guest artists. Students are also given hands-on work experience in the student salon, where licensed instructors supervise work done by students.
