Description

To help the Navajo nation progress and thrive is the mission of Navajo Technical College in Crownpoint, New Mexico.

Living according to such principles as self-discipline and diligence, Navajo Technical College seeks to train Navajo students in careers that will lead to self-sufficiency and independence.

Two-year vocational, technical and academic degrees and certificates are offered in such fields as Pre-Professional Nursing, Bookkeeping, Carpentry, Veterinary Technology, Accounting and Culinary Arts. Navajo Tech also offers one bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.

Navajo Tech also has a media program committed to training the next generation of Navajo filmmakers and media professionals. While the majority of classes are held on-site, certain classes have online options as well.

Another way that Navajo Tech supports the progress of the Navajo nation is by requiring all students, regardless of their area of study, take classes in Dine language and culture.

In an effort to maximize success of its students, Navajo Tech’s STEM Lab offers tutoring in all areas of study.

The American Indian College fund and Navajo Nation scholarships are some of the financial aid resources available to eligible students. A financial aid counselor can discuss these and others.
