National Holistic Institute (NHI) offers a program in massage therapy that incorporates many different modalities of massage therapy and healing. Graduates of the program are, therefore, considered to be well-rounded massage therapists.

With a location in Emeryville, California, NHI has additional campuses throughout the state.

The accredited program in Emeryville encompasses such techniques as:

• Accupressure
• Hot stone massage
• Myofascial massage
• Pregnancy massage

Classes are hands-on, and students practice these and other modalities at the student massage clinic.

Students also take courses in career development, which help them with marketing, job-search strategies and other skills related to the business.

Since graduates of NHI are so well equipped for their profession, many of them are working as massage therapists shortly after graduating. However, NHI does not guarantee employment.

NHI also offers flexible schedules, including evening and weekend classes.

The school accepts federal financial aid, including Pell grants, SEOG grants, loans and work-study programs. To apply for financial aid, applicants will need to fill out a FAFSA.
