Description

As its name suggests, Bene’s International School of Beauty, Barber & Massage Therapy is more than a typical cosmetology school. Bene’s offers comprehensive academics in several areas of the beauty industry. The New Port Richey location is Bene’s main campus, and includes all of the school’s courses, including:

*Cosmetology
*Barber
*Massage Therapy
*Skin Care
*Full Specialty
*Nail Tech I and II

The Cosmetology and Barber programs are both 1200 hours, and provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the Florida state board exam. The Massage program has the same objective, but requires half the clock hours. Full Specialty, which is comparable to other beauty schools’ Esthetics courses, is also 600 hours, and the Skin Care and Nail Tech courses run 360 hours each.

The curricula for all of Bene’s courses combine classroom learning and practical experience. Because beauty is a hands-on industry, the experience you gain from working on real customers will help prepare you for the workforce.

Bene’s International School of Beauty has minimal admissions requirements. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. Students without a diploma or equivalent can enroll by scoring a minimum of 200 Verbal and 210 Quantitative on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test.
