Description
In addition to a history of winning stylist awards both nationally and internationally, graduates of Emma’s Beauty Academy in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, are equipped to work in a variety of positions and settings. Programs of study at Emma’s include:
*Cosmetology
*Esthetics
*Barbering
*Professional Makeup
*Nail Technology
Students get opportunities for real-world application of the styling techniques they learn through Pivot Point, a widely used and respected method of teaching and practicing the beauty arts.
Graduates of Emma’s go on to work as stylists, salon managers and owners, platform artists, designers and educators.
A high school diploma, birth certificate, social security card, proof of residence and eligibility to attend school in Puerto Rico are all that’s needed to enroll at Emma’s.
Students earn financial aid if they are determined to have a viable financial need. After receiving a student’s FAFSA, the Department of Education and the school financial aid officers will determine if a student is eligible for aid and then award Pell grants, loans, work-study awards or scholarships.
